Spirit of Nature

Spirit of Nature

Ulaanbaatar 🇲🇳 Founder-Led Manufacturer

From a Bayangol district workshop in Ulaanbaatar, Spirit of Nature crafted organic soaps from mare milk, sea buckthorn oil, and calendula. Winner of Mongolia's Micro Business Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018 and a founding member of the Cosmetics Cluster, this micro-brand joined an EU-backed export pipeline but appears to have gone dormant around 2020.

Spirit of Nature Mongolia LLC (Спирит оф Натур ХХК) is an artisanal cosmetics micro-brand founded approximately 2017 in Ulaanbaatar’s Bayangol district by Tungalag Nanzad (Н. Тунгалаг), identified through convergent Facebook page tagging and trade fair participation records. The brand produces handmade organic soaps — including mare milk, sea buckthorn oil, goat milk with honey, and calendula varieties — along with bath bombs, bath salt, and lip balm.

Recognition and Cluster Membership

In December 2018, Spirit of Nature won the “Micro Business Entrepreneur of the Year” award at the MNCCI 22nd annual Entrepreneur Awards. The brand was also featured as an outstanding startup at WorkCentral’s Mongolian Startup Market and participated in the SME 2018 International Exhibition at Misheel Expo Center. In 2019, Spirit of Nature became a founding member of the Mongolian Natural Cosmetics Cluster NGO, the EU-backed initiative organizing Mongolian cosmetics producers for collective export to European markets.

Current Status

Spirit of Nature’s last confirmed activity dates to approximately 2020. No post-2020 digital activity, media mentions, trade show participation, or product listings have been identified. The brand’s products do not appear on the cluster’s mongolian-green-labels.eu export platform. The most likely disruption was the COVID-19 pandemic, which eliminated the brand’s primary sales channels — Facebook orders, exhibition sales, and tourist-venue distribution at Khuvsgul Lake Hotel. Spirit of Nature is listed in the 2023 MNCCI Exporters E-Catalogue, which may indicate continued legal registration if not active operations.
